How to make veg momos
How to make veg momos: Veg Momos is a steamed or fried stuffed with mixed vegetables. it is a delicious snack food item in the Tibet region. Momos are getting very popular in some parts of India. you can prepare them at home, by steaming or deep frying.
The Veg Momos recipe requires it to slow-cook by steaming.
Steps to cook Vegetarian Momos at home, you can be classified into three parts;
1) prepare the vegetable stuffing,
2) Dough for bind, fill the mixed vegetable mixture in the rolled dough, and make a bag shape,
3) cook them in Steam.

Ingredients for Dough:
1 cup All-Purpose Flour (Maida)
1 teaspoon Oil
Salt to taste
2 tablespoon Oil
4 cloves of Garlic, chopped
4 green chili chopped
1 cup finely chopped Carrot
1 Capsicum finely chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped Beans
1/2 cup finely chopped Onion
1/4 cup green peas
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds powder
1 teaspoon Soya Sauce
1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
Salt to taste
Directions for how to make veg momos:
Add 1 cup maida (all-purpose flour), 1 teaspoon oil, and salt in a mixing bowl.
Mix all ingredients and prepare a soft dough (like Roti dough) by adding water. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
Finely cut all vegetables as mentioned in the ingredients.
Heat two tablespoons oil in a pan on medium flame. Add finely chopped garlic and saute for 30 seconds. Add all chopped veggies one by one (4 chopped green chili, 1 Capsicum finely chopped,1/2 cup finely chopped onion, 1/2 cup finely chopped Beans, 1/4 cup green peas, 1 cup finely chopped Carrot) and salt. Mix well and saute them for 2 minutes on low flame.
Add 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds powder, Mix well and Turn off the flame.
Add 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder, and1 teaspoon soy sauce. Mix well. Stuffing for Veg Momos is ready. keep aside.

Knead the dough again for a minute, and divide it into 2-equal parts. Give a round cylindrical shape. Make the small and equal size of dough balls with a knife as shown in the video.
Place one dough on a rolling board, and roll it into a thin disc (approx. 4-5 inch diameter).
Place approx. 1 tablespoon filling in the center. Lift the edge from one side and fold the edge a little inside and then little outside alternatively. Joint them in the center to seal it.
Prepare momos from remaining dough in the same way.
Grease an idli plate or any other plate with oil to prevent them from sticking. Arrange Veg Momos On the plate
Heat 1-2 glass of water in an idli cooker or steamer, on medium flame. place momos plate in cooker. Momos plate should not touch the water. Cover the cooker with a lid and steam them for 10-15 minutes over medium flame.
Remove the lid, and check them by touching. If they do not feel sticky, it means they are cooked.
Transfer to a serving plate. Serve hot Veg Momos with tomato sauce.
